This weekend I had the delightful opportunity to attend The Nutcracker performed by the Boston Ballet. Although I am not a ballet expert, I can definitely tell you that this is an event that anyone can enjoy. Even the little girl sitting next to me was laughing hysterically.
In case you’ve never seen the Nutcracker, it is a ballet based off of the story “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice”, with original music written by Peter Tchaivosky.
Here is a classic song from the ballet that will surely put you in the christmas spirit…
One of the best parts of the ballet was that it was performed in the Boston Opera House. The Boston Opera house is nothing but elegant. The red velvet, gold accents, and grand staircases were sure to inspire some cute outfits (unfortunately I had very little time to stalk people for photo ops). Many women were dressed in elegant party dresses and patent pumps. I wore a sheer silk top with velvet panels on the front and black velvet leggings.
I hope that these pictures will inspire you to at least tour the Boston Opera House while you are here at school…
If you didn’t get the opportunity to see The Nutcracker this year, you should definitely try next Christmas season. BC to Boston offers tickets for 15 dollars instead of the face value of 50 dollars.
I hope you are all getting into the holiday spirit!
