Stop American Censorship

Congress is about to pass internet censorship, even though the vast majority of Americans are opposed. We need to kill the bill – PIPA in the Senate and SOPA in the House – to protect our rights to free speech, privacy, and prosperity.

In protest, tomorrow many major websites are going dark or are rumored to be going dark  for 24 hours — Google, Ebay, Wikipedia, Mozilla, Craigslist, Reddit, TwitpicLinkedin, PayPal, Yahoo, Xanga, Etsy, I Can Has Cheezburger network, and WordPress to name a few. Basically — don’t even bother trying to use the internet tomorrow. Here’s the complete list of sites that are protesting.

That means that quite possibly Rusted Revolution (the blog, store, twitter account and more) will be unavailable all day tomorrow. Not that we’re complaining. SOPA and PIPA would take away many of our basic rights and transform (and quite possibly ruin) internet as we know it.

Websites are going black on January 18th to save the internet. Join them by writing your senator and tell them you oppose PIPA. Join the strike here.

We will miss you, and we will see you back on the worldwide web on Thursday!
